Can you say SLACKER?
I know I know, another blog with NO pictures. I tried to take some this past weekend and my batteries died. I still haven’t gotten a chance to get some more.
Can I be transparent (where have you heard that before? lol)? Things have been kinda tough for us. I am being tested in so many areas and I am really trying to stay focused. But I can say through the hard times, I am truly blessed!
Which brings me to my Thanksgiving. We got an opportunity to ride up to PA with family. It was really great because it was FREE! We spent some time with the family and pretty much just relaxed and took it easy. My dad took Keylan to the mountains to see some real and an abundance of snow. (that boy has been praying for some for weeks now) So that was exciting for him. He also got to spend some time with his cousins. ( I do have pictures and I will post… again read the header) And me, I got time to unwind and just relax.
Something else exciting did happen tho. There was a stray dog at my sister’s house just hanging out. Well my sister and nephew befriended him and he hung around for a few days. Saturday night we saw him lying on her porch on a blanket shivering. So we were trying to figure out, what could we do with it ? or for it? So of course we thought of our stepmother. Bless this woman’s heart, she LOVES some animals. She works at the SPCA part time so we knew she would know what to do. Well to make a long story short, we brought the dog to the house expecting her to bring it to the SPCA in the morning when she went to work. For some background we used to have 3 dogs there but they are no longer with us and she had been wanting another dog for a while now…. Well the entire family fell in love with the dog and she did not put him in the SPCA but gave him a home. It’s so crazy but as Im sitting here thinking of the abuse this dog obviously went through and how he was led to my sister, and then was taken to a place where he will be treated like a King, I think of my life before being a Christian. God truly has a plan for each and every one of us.. including this dog. We were battered and bruised and just living free, maybe even homeless and he brought people in our lives that either took us to church or touched our lives in a way that helped us to realize exactly where we needed to be. In the arms of our heavenly father, to be treated like the heirs we were born to be. Wow!!!!!
So my dad takes horrible pictures.. LOL
